Here’s another dip into the pay day lending sea of sharks, focusing on one W. Allen Jones. According to TPMMuckraker Jones, from Tennessee is the founder of Check to Cash, an 1100 store, 30 state leeching machine. Jones lives the high life, boats, cars, restaurants and swimming pools built in his name, while the people he services, whom he supposedly gives his fair share to, drown in debt. Turns out that not only has Mr. Jones gotten PAID from pay day lending, he, via his industry trade group are paying to continue to living it up in the wild wild west of unregulated highway robbery. According to the TPMM piece, Jones trade group Community Financial Services Association (CFSA) has been lobbying one Senator Bob Corker, (R-TN) who sits on the Senate Banking committee. Corker has worked to thwart the ability to regulate pay day lenders as proposed in the current regulatory reform bill in the Senate. Corker is proposing that regulators take an additional “permission” step in order to go after pay day lenders, making it more difficult for the proposed regulatory agency (to be created if the bill passes) to do any due diligence on lender abuses.
The house version of financial reform passed back in December. It’s now sitting in the lap of Corker and the rest to dismantle so that it helps no one but the folks they really serve, the lobbyists, who serve their interests like the CFSA. In the mean time, the black and the brown, the disadvantaged will go under from the weight of debt.

The best way I can think of to stop W. Allan Jones of Check Into Cash from being so awful and treating people so poorly is to ask our elected senator, Senator Bob Corker, to stop supporting W. Allan Jones and Check Into Cash in Congress. I mean, is Senator Bob Corker even aware of the type of person he is supporting or does he just not care?
Does Senator Bob Corker know that W. Allan Jones is a quoted racist? Does Senator Bob Corker know that W. Allan Jones continually violates workplace laws?

We, as consumers and as voters, are going to have to take action against these parties to stop them from victimizing both poor and financially ignorant clients and the poor bastards that have to work for W. The author of this review, David Michel, is a negative jerk who suffers from a Napoleon complex. He was rude to women while he worked here and tried continually to stir up drama. He acted like he was the boss, He had no problem with the payday loan industry before he got fired for breaking the law at work. He screamed at his wife on the cell phone and everyone could hear it. He was just as much of a sexist and racist as he claims Allan Jones is. I don’t work there any more but I just remember what a major douche he was to everyone he talked to.
